The Greens know that rental properties are people’s homes – not just investments.

Too often rental properties are used as a way for dodgy landlords to maximise their returns, at the expense of people’s security and safety.

We are working to improve rights for renters. We have a plan to keep rents affordable, to improve security of tenure, and to ensure that landlords live up to their maintenance obligations. The rights of both tenants and landlords need to be protected by our laws.
